Wind Turbine Electrical Engineer

Robo Building PGA campus

12-Month Contract

Overview of the Role :

Join a forward-thinking team at the forefront of renewable energy innovation! We're seeking a talented electrical engineer to support critical wind turbine operations and maintenance. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge electrical systems, pitch systems, and power electronics while contributing to sustainable energy solutions that power communities nationwide.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Support wind turbine operations and maintenance with focus on electrical systems up to 690VAC / 230VDC
  • Troubleshoot and optimize pitch systems, motors, drives, and power electronics
  • Apply advanced engineering techniques to modify and extend standard practices
  • Plan and conduct independent evaluations requiring sound technical judgment
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges
  • Adapt standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to unique operational scenarios
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal turbine performance

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 2-5 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motors, and drive systems
  • Experience with power electronics and control systems
  • Proven ability to independently evaluate and solve technical problems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong communication skills for technical documentation and collaboration
