Position Overview :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Associate to join our dynamic team. You will provide comprehensive tax preparation, representation, and advisory services to a diverse client base. Your expertise will help individuals and businesses navigate the complexities of the tax code and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and review individual, business, trust, and non-profit tax returns (1040, 1041, 1120, 1065, etc.)
  • Represent clients before the IRS and other taxing authorities in audits, appeals, and collections (if credentialed)
  • Provide tax planning advice to clients to minimize liabilities and maximize returns
  • Keep up-to-date on current tax law changes and provide guidance on the impact to clients
  • Assist with tax projections and filing deadlines to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Maintain accurate and organized client records

Qualifications :

  • CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred
  • 5+ years of tax preparation and advisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes, tax laws, and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-first mentality
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software (experience with Ultra Tax, TaxDome and SafeSend preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
