Overview

HOPE Community Services, Inc. is a leading outpatient treatment provider in south Oklahoma City. We provide compassionate trauma informed care to individuals whose lives have been impacted by mental health and substance use disorders. We do this by providing compassionate and evidence-based treatment, aimed at improving the quality of life for those we serve.

We are currently seeking a Therapeutic Counselor in Intensive Services

to provide counseling, assessment, and crisis intervention for individuals with significant mental health needs. This position focuses on delivering high-intensity therapeutic support, crisis stabilization, and care coordination to help clients achieve stability and long-term recovery.

About the Position

The Therapeutic Counselor delivers individual, family, and group counseling, crisis intervention, assessments, and treatment planning. The role involves close collaboration with community partners, including law enforcement, courts, hospitals, and crisis centers, while maintaining recovery-focused and trauma-informed care.

This position works closely with the Urgent Recovery Center (URC) to coordinate care and facilitate intake for high-risk clients, ensuring timely and effective treatment engagement.

Experience in suicide prevention and intervention, including familiarity with Suicide Pathways or similar evidence-based models, is highly valued in this position.

About theIntensive Services Program

The Intensive Services program assists clients in maintaining outpatient recovery by providing structured, co-occurring capable services that address behavioral health and trauma needs.

Requirements

  • Current license (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LADC) in Oklahoma, or masters degree in psychology, social work, or a related field with eligibility for licensure supervision.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health and / or substance use disorders.
  • Experience with suicide prevention, risk assessment, and intervention (Suicide Pathways experience preferred).
  • Valid Oklahoma drivers license and ability to meet HOPEs insurance requirements.

Skills

  • Strong therapeutic and clinical documentation skills.
  • Collaborative approach with experience in community-based care and court systems.
  • Ability to coordinate care with crisis services, including the Urgent Recovery Center, for high-risk clients.
  • Ability to provide culturally responsive and trauma-informed services.
  • Additional Requirements

  • May require First Aid, CPR, and Therapeutic Options certifications.
