We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This position is based in Bridgewater, New Jersey, and involves supporting key financial operations within the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting processes and systems, as well as experience managing reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis. This role will be hybrid onsite 3 days a week.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and review journal entries for corporate functions, including cash flow, accrued liabilities, insurance reserves, prepaids, and foreign exchange.
- Manage inventory-related journal entries, such as revaluation and consignment transactions.
- Handle intercompany journal entries, including cross charges and reconciliations.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and roll forwards, providing detailed variance analysis and commentary.
- Conduct intercompany reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Present variance explanations during monthly reviews of actual financial results.
- Support compliance requirements by addressing audit requests related to SOX 404.
- Maintain necessary controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless month-end close processes.
- Utilize systems like SAP S / 4HANA, HFM, and PeopleSoft to efficiently manage financial tasks.
- Proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Strong expertise in journal entries and general ledger management.
- Familiarity with bank reconciliations and month-end close procedures.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Experience working with SAP S / 4HANA, HFM, and PeopleSoft systems.
- Ability to analyze and present variance commentary effectively.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements, including SOX 404 audits.
- Solid understanding of financial processes within the healthcare industry.
