Crystallization Scientist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Support crystallization process development activities of the group through laboratory experiments, including solubility screening experiments, kinetic solubility and metastable zone width measurements, and laboratory-scale crystallization experiments.
• Hands-on generation of solid-state characterization data using powder X-ray diffraction.
• Analysis of product samples for key physical properties, including particle size distribution and particle shape, using optical microscopy and laser diffraction particle size analysis.
• Support of technical initiatives that may involve the design, installation, repair, and maintenance of specialized laboratory equipment. Comfortable with multitasking
• Independent and systematic
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Good written communications, including use of electronic laboratory notebooks
• Hands-on experience with relational databases and complex spreadsheets
