Description :

This is a travel RN position in a Trauma ICU.

The unit has a total of 16 beds.

There are 60 staff members on this unit.

The day shift consists of 1 Charge RN, 8 RNs, and 1 PCT for a census of 14.

The night shift also consists of 1 Charge RN, 8 RNs, and 1 PCT for a census of 14.

The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1 RN to 2 patients.

Typical equipment used includes cardiac monitors, ventilators, IV pumps, and tube feed pumps.

The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.

Candidates with experience in medical ICU and neuro population are preferred.

Typical procedures performed on the unit include intubations and central line placements.

The ideal candidate should be collaborative and a team player.

New technology and equipment will be utilized on the unit.

The tenure and experience of the staff are noteworthy.
