Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN with telemetry experience and a TX or compact license for night shifts on a busy telemetry unit.

Job Details

  • Work in a hospital telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1 : 6,
  • Float between med-surg and IMC units, caring for non-titrating drips and post-op patients,
  • Night shifts (3x12 hours, 18 : 45-07 : 15),
  • Uses Epic for charting; Epic experience preferred,
  • Scrub color is dark grey,

Job Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration,
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,
  • Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required,
  • Prior travel nursing experience is required,
  • Epic charting experience preferred,
  • Locals within 50 miles are not accepted,
  • Former perm staff must be gone at least 1 year before returning as a traveler,
  • Candidates residing in specified counties are not eligible,

    • Additional Information

  • Responsible for caring for telemetry, med-surg, and IMC patients including non-titrating drips and post-op cases,
  • No travel pairs or groups accepted for consideration,
  • No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved,
  • No requested time off allowed during the first week of orientation,
