Job description

Position Highlights :

  • Position : Peri-Anesthesia / PACU / PAT
  • Job Type : Full-Time
  • Location : Community Hospital
  • Schedule : Days, 3x12's

Responsibilities :

  • The Registered Nurse will provide perioperative patient care.
  • Reviewing the patient chart by becoming familiar with orders including but not limited to lab orders and results, radiology orders and results, H & P's and updates, consents
  • Explaining procedures / treatment / discharge to patient and family members to alley apprehension and to verify understanding of procedure / discharge.
  • Documenting patient assessment in the electronic patient record, and nursing care plan.
  • Administering prescribed medications.
  • Preparing Pre-OP / PACU - I and II for needed supplies and equipment
  • Maintaining awareness of patient's safety needs at all times
  • Assisting with patient's transfer of care from the OR

    • Requirements :

  • Basic Life Support
  • Registered Nurse
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Minimum Experience : 2 years of Pre-Op / PACU experience

    Compensation :

  • $37.00 - $42.55 per hour, depending on education and experience.
  • Bonus : $20,000 for RN's with 2 or more years of experience.
  • Discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increase, market adjustments, recognition bonuses, and other forms of discretionary compensation may be available.
