Position Details :

Locum Tenens - Interventional Radiology Physician

• Setting

Hospital-based practice in a Level 3 Trauma Center

• Schedule

Day Shift

8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• Call Coverage

Required for the full week if on rotation

• Weekend Requirements

Full 24-hour call coverage on Saturdays and Sundays

• Caseload

Approximately 8-11 cases daily, with a high volume of paracentesis, thoracentesis, and biopsies

Facility Highlights :

• Emergency Volume

Approximately 55,000 annual ER visits

• EMR System

EPIC, with teleradiology support via Philips ISite platform

• Support Staff

Includes two local interventional radiologists and a team of IR support professionals

Responsibilities :

• Conduct a variety of imaging and interventional procedures :

Required Imaging Procedures

Angiography, CT, and Ultrasound

• Required Interventional Procedures

Angioplasty, stent placement, chemoembolization, embolization, aortic aneurysm endograft stenting, needle biopsies, thrombolysis, and kyphoplasty

• Collaborate with a large team of radiologists across the health system

Qualifications :

• Board Certification

AOBR or ABR in Interventional Radiology Required

• Fellowship Training

Strongly preferred in Interventional Radiology (IR)

• Licensure

Active Washington State medical license Required

• Certifications

ACLS certification Required

Credentialing :
• Timeframe

Approximately 3-4 months to complete credentialing
