Security Officer - Distribution Access Control

As a Security Officer - Distribution Access Control in Newville, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and clear communication will help create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone on site. Pay Rate : $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Mon 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Tue 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Wed 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Thur 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Fri 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
  • Assist in implementing site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related matters.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and security-related concerns.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions, assisting visitors, and offering directions as needed.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed reports for Allied Universal management and client review.
  • Identify and report any security-related hazards or suspicious activities in and around the location.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, following site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
