We have created a one-stop resource in a financial services office with unique professional alliances including : A CPA accounting practice (MidCoast Tax) A Medicare specialist (Navigating Next) Estate planning attorneys What We Need A Licensed Paraplanner who will support our advisory team by preparing financial planning deliverables, analyzing client data, and ensuring our clients’ strategies are thoughtfully implemented. This role is central to our mission of delivering high-quality planning that serves the client’s best interests and helps them move forward with clarity and confidence. Key Responsibilities The Licensed Paraplanner will support Wealth Advisors and the Director of Financial Planning by preparing, organizing, and executing the planning process for clients. Leading, Managing, and Holding Accountable the Planning Team Lead, manage, and hold accountable the Financial Planning Assistants This includes ensuring work is done compliantly and with accuracy Planning Preparation & Analysis Gather, organize, and analyze client financial data (cash flow, investments, insurance, retirement, estate, tax, etc.) Assist in building and updating financial plans in planning software Prepare customized reports, projections, and planning scenarios for advisor / client meetings Research products, strategies, and technical planning issues as needed Advisor & Client Support Participate in plan design discussions with Wealth Advisors Prepare meeting materials and follow-up deliverables for client reviews Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality in all planning deliverables Support implementation of planning recommendations (paperwork, coordination with partners, tracking progress) Team Collaboration & Growth Work closely with advisors, client service associates, and tax professionals to deliver integrated planning Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and client experience Stay current on planning tools, regulations, and strategies through continuing education We Need Someone Who Is Highly detail-oriented and organized Analytical and curious, with strong problem-solving skills Excellent at written and verbal communication A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment Eager to learn, grow, and eventually advance in responsibility (CFP® track preferred) Humble, hungry, and smart Salary and Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience Team-based bonus based on profitability 401k with 4% match Generous PTO 50% of health insurance subsidized A relaxed, collaborative team environment A company culture that values the Golden Rule in treating others how we’d want to be treated Costs for licensing, exam prep, and continuing education subsidized (including CFP® coursework) At Ameriprise Financial, we’re not just in the business of helping clients with their financial goals – we also help our advisors and employees reach their true potential by embracing an inclusive and collaborative culture.
