Job description

Citronix designs and manufactures printers to apply identification marks such as best before dates, logos and batch codes to almost any kind of material for a wide range of industrial sectors. These products are sold exclusively through a network of distributors in Americas, Europe, Middle East & Africa and Asia Pacific. The company, which is wholly owned by a successful UK-based business, has ~30 employees and is based in Arlington, Texas.

Overview

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain production test rigs and fixtures for electrical component testing
  • Evaluate and qualify second-source electrical components to ensure compatibility and performance
  • Troubleshoot and debug main PCB assemblies in industrial printers when required
  • Develop test software and automation scripts for electrical testing equipment
  • Program, build, and maintain PLCs for test equipment and production systems
  • Create and maintain test documentation, procedures, and specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, mechanical, and manufacturing

Competencies

  • Circuit design and analysis for test fixtures and instrumentation
  • PCB troubleshooting and repair techniques
  • Experience with test equipment : oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, signal generators
  • Understanding of analog and digital electronics, power supplies, and signal conditioning
  • Component qualification and reliability testing methodologies
  • Basic programming skills for test automation (Python, C, Java, or similar)
  • PLC programming, integration, and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms)
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium, Eagle, KiCAD, or similar)
  • Reading and interpreting datasheets, schematics, and technical specifications
  • Experience & Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in electronics design and / or test engineering
  • Hands-on experience with electronics troubleshooting and component-level repair
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Desirable

  • Experience with industrial equipment or printer electronics
  • Knowledge of automated test equipment (ATE) development
  • Familiarity with design for testability (DFT) principles
  • Experience working in small team environments with broad responsibilities
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments
