Supply Planning Supervisor
As the Supply Planning Supervisor, you will be an expert in all areas of supply chain operations with a focus on batch and inventory planning. You will ensure both short-term and long-term planning processes are followed to balance supply to meet demand and maintain healthy inventory levels. Your role within the PPG Supply chain will have an impact on Cleveland Plant Performance and ensuring our Auto OEM facilities receive the right product and color at the right time. You will develop and create the strategy for efficient manufacturing and on-time delivery of products that meet customer requirements. This includes ensuring timely and accurate response to customer demand by planning batches and supply plans required for the Supply Chain and Production Planning teams to build production schedules, receive raw materials on time, and maintain accurate systems to support manufacturing. You will manage the integration of sales forecasts, budgeting in-process, and finished goods inventory. This is an experienced level position requiring in-depth knowledge of supply chain, operations, sales environment, and cost structures.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Manage planning team with support of their team goals. Mentor team development and opportunities for their growth.
- Manage communication with the PPG customer service team on critical customer requirements.
- Ensure planning team is meeting PPG service goals for our "Make to Order" and "Make to Stock" customers.
- Develop continuous improvement projects for finished goods and intermediate days of inventory reduction to meet working capital goals.
- Lead monthly SIOP Supply Review including the monthly rough cut capacity review for next 12-month period.
- Identify issues and support PPG team to resolve and avoid customer service or working capital issues.
- Attend daily production floor operations meetings with plant supervisors, engineers, and planners.
- Support Plan Ex team on managing and maintaining system setting and supply chain processes.
- Collaborate with demand planning team and raw material team for opportunities and to resolve issues.
- Lead opportunities with planning team to reduce the risk of obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
Qualifications :
BS / BA in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field5+ years of Supply Chain or Operations experience in a high-performance manufacturing facilityLeadership experience managing large supply chain projects and smaller teams.APICS or ASCM certification (CSCP, CPIM) is helpful.Oracle, SAP, or other ERP system experienceAdvanced Excel Skills (Pivot tables, Vlookups)Experience with Business Intelligence Tools (MS Power BI) or SQL applications
