IT Permitting Operations Program Manager

Under the general direction of the Assistant Deputy Director, the IT Permitting Operations Program Manager oversees the planning and implementation of technical solutions for the permitting and inspections processes for development and land use. This includes implementing policy recommendations, monitoring the Departments technical usage, and leading a Committee of permit process subject-matter experts to ensure the proper maintenance of IT-based business requirements. Additionally, the Program Manager acts as a liaison to the Department of Info Technology, preparing and presenting reports and outlooks on technical solutions. Lastly, the position drafts the Five-Year IT Solutions Strategy Plan.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements :

The position operates in a standard office environment and is a hybrid telework position that requires intermittent on-site attendance. Evening work is sometimes required, and weekend work may be necessary on occasion.

Key Areas of Responsibility :

• The IT Permitting Operations Program Manager will lead the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) governance strategy by establishing standards and best practices for the collection, storage, and management of GIS data. Collaborate with the Data Engineers Section to enhance dashboards and performance metrics
• Collaborate with the Accountant Section on project status to support the reconciliation process
• Streamlining business processes with technology solutions
• Chairs the Departments IT Systems Development Program, leading complex, cross-departmental technical solution initiatives
• Reviews work processes to ensure effectiveness, makes recommendations for change, and implements changes
