Travel Nursing Job Details

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room

Location : Durango, CO 81301 (Colorado healthcare jobs)

Facility Setting : Operating Room (Surgery Unit)

Shift : 10-hour days (7 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM)

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 10 / 2025 – End : 2 / 7 / 2026)

On-Call : One night per week and one weekend per month

Weekends : No regular weekend shifts

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2,210 - $2,370

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or a participating NLC state

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience as a Circulating Nurse

Strong clinical skills in perioperative nursing, patient assessment, and surgical support

Ability to float to other healthcare units or facilities within 60 miles as needed

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of medical records

Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team

Demonstrate competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection

Advocate for patient safety, rights, and well-being at all times

Provide patient and family education, assessing learning needs and evaluating teaching effectiveness

Deliver relationship-based care with respect for cultural differences and patient preferences

Delegate tasks to non-RN personnel in accordance with Colorado state and hospital policy

Serve as a professional role model, mentor, and preceptor for new staff and nursing students

Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and ongoing education to maintain clinical competency

Maintain professional records and uphold standards of nursing practice in the operating room
