Overview

Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering role at CVS Health. The position leads and drives critical initiatives in the Retail Front Store portfolio. This hands-on technology leader is an Agile evangelist with a track record of delivering technology initiatives in a fast-paced organization, building trusted relationships with peer groups and business partners. The role balances priorities, risks, and expenses to manage, build, and operationalize a portfolio of products and capabilities, and delivers high-quality software to enhance customer experiences while driving vision, innovation, and strategic plans across CVS Health's enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive critical initiatives in the Retail Front Store portfolio.
  • Act as an Agile evangelist with a proven track record in delivering technology initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with architects and developers in an Agile, accelerated development setting.
  • Balance priorities, risks, and expenses to successfully manage, build, and operationalize a portfolio of products and capabilities.
  • Drive vision, innovation, and strategic plans to advance CVS Health's enterprise solutions in the Retail Front Store portfolios.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of functional leadership experience in an information systems environment, including at least 3+ years in direct management and supervision of IT / Technical work groups, budgeting, strategic planning, technical direction, and staff coaching / mentoring.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience including APIs, microservices, customization, integration, UI development, and analytics.
  • 5+ years of experience with agile development.
  • 5+ years of experience with leadership, managing large or multiple teams comprising FTEs and contractors.
  • 3+ years managing teams responsible for deploying cloud applications (GCP preferred).

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with optimization skills to improve performance, scalability, and usability of applications.
  • Strong application development background as developer, architect, or manager.
  • Experience and success in leading agile teams (small, medium, and large initiatives), consistently delivering high-quality software to enhance customer experience.
  • Working experience of CI / CD pipeline.
  • Coaches and mentors staff and supports development and training plans.
  • Working understanding of enterprise security.
  • Experience in a large online retailer application development organization.
  • Retail Front Store experience.

    • Education

    Bachelor degree from accredited university or equivalent work experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).

    Compensation and Benefits

    The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $130,295.00 - $260,590.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other factors. This position is eligible for CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to base pay, and includes an award target in the company's equity program.
