Safety Coordinator | Permit Expeditor

A well-established construction firm is seeking a Safety Coordinator | Permit Expeditor to oversee project and fleet permits, safety compliance, and site coordination . This role is ideal for someone with experience in construction, engineering, or project coordination , who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities :

Review contracts and estimate permits for potential and awarded work.

Obtain necessary permits, bonds, and fleet authorizations per project requirements.

Coordinate with Project Management and Accounting teams to maintain site safety and compliance .

Assist with pre-construction punch lists, schedule inspections, and manage general site incident reports.

Track material receipts, trucking tickets, and documentation for timely filing.

Communicate clearly with clients regarding permit status, safety issues, and contractual matters.

Attend weekly meetings and share project updates, permit statuses, and safety progress.

Maintain relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and team members.

Qualifications :

Experience in construction, engineering, or related fields .

Proficient in Excel; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of permits, codes, and safety regulations preferred.

Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with minimal direction.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
