ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Hickory, NC 28601 (North Carolina healthcare job)

Facility Setting : Emergency Department (32 beds)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Start Date : November 17, 2025

End Date : February 16, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Weekend Rotation : Every other weekend

Electronic Health Record : Cerner

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1630 - $1750

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unencumbered RN license (Registered Nurse)

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience

Required certifications : ACLS, PALS or ENPC, NIHSS

Strong critical care skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency setting

Excellent communication and patient care skills with patients and families

Willingness to float to other clinical areas within competency

Must reside at least 60 miles from Hickory, NC to qualify for travel nurse status

ER RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages and acuity levels

Respond rapidly to trauma, stroke, STEMI, and other critical emergencies

Operate critical care equipment and maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EHR

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Maintain a professional and energetic presence in a busy Emergency Department

Comply with hospital policies, including dress code (scrub color : any; hoodies and inappropriate t-shirts not permitted)

Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training as required
