Electrical I&C Engineer II

OVERVIEW

Merrick is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer to serve in a variety of nuclear and energy markets including hot cells, power generation, hydroelectric, wind and solar generation. The position is located in our Greenwood Village (Metro Denver), CO office.

Annual pay range for this position is $82,600.00 - $108,300.00. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Under minimal supervision of senior engineers, develop I&C design documents and drawings. Including wiring diagrams, control narratives, cause and effects tables, panel layouts, network architecture, instrument selection and datasheets.
• Primary interface with clients, project management, procurement professionals, and other engineering disciplines in matters dealing with project I&C systems.
• Develop instrumentation and controls basis of design and scope of work documents.
• Develop specifications for I&C equipment including DCS, PLCs and instrument datasheets.
• Ensure technical accuracy and conformance to project design criteria of engineered work products.
• Ensure appropriate procedures, design guidelines, and design tools are utilized on projects.
• Travel to domestic client project sites to support projects and assist with marketing Merrick's capabilities.
• Work closely alongside Process Engineers to define P&ID's and instrument lists. Specifically control symbology on P&IDs and collaborate on Instrument I / O lists for make / model / signal type and rack / slot / channel.
