Description :

The position is for a Stepdown RN.

The shift schedule is 3x12s, Days from 07 : 00 to 19 : 00, with holiday rotation.

The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1 : 4.

Travelers will be required to work every other weekend.

No on-call is required.

Travelers will need to float within the scope to meet facility needs.

All time off requests must be included at the time of submission.

The facility has the right to call off one shift every two weeks.

During hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams.

Travelers should be prepared for this assignment possibility.

The position will require certifications in ACLS and BLS.

Preferred certifications include NIHSS.

Necessary skills include but are not limited to cardiac telemetry, IV management, tracheostomy care, and wound care.

The unit primarily cares for adult and geriatric patients in a step-down setting.

Travelers should have the ability to manage various patient conditions, including post-surgical and neurological cases.

Additional competencies include the interpretation of dysrhythmias and oxygen administration.
