Benefits Administrator
Position Summary: Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Benefits Administrator to support retirement and absence management programs for both full-time and part-time employees. This role partners closely with management to ensure accurate administration, compliance, and effective communication of benefit programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, edit, and distribute benefits education and communication materials; document administrative procedures and processes
- Respond to employee enrollment questions, educate participants on benefit plans, and manage individual case inquiries
- Serve as a primary point of contact for insurance carriers and third-party administrators regarding plan status changes, provisions, and general benefit inquiries
- Support eligibility and enrollment processes through data entry, reporting, and routine audits to maintain data integrity; provide backup for carrier file transmissions, vendor billing, and post-payroll funding activities
- Analyze and reconcile HR and benefits data to ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
- 35 years of experience in benefits administration and absence management
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state regulations including ACA, FMLA, COBRA, ADA, and Section 125
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver presentations
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
