Position Summary :
Nestled at the confluence of the Rock and Crawfish rivers, our factory has been a cornerstone since 1910. As one of the largest manufacturers in the region, we ship countless truckloads and railcars of beloved brands like Fancy Feast, Friskies, and Pro Plan. Beyond our mass production, our Jefferson factory proudly donates 1.2 million cans of food annually, supporting over 40 animal shelters and organizations. Our factory is also doing our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. As the Associate Quality Manager, you'll be immersed in a highly technical and high-quality production environment to play a key role in achieving our standards of continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining safety programs, validating regulations, supporting HACCP criteria, and providing support for capital projects.
Plan, develop, perform, and track food safety training for employees in all departments
Ensure raw materials, rework, and finished goods meet all food safety and quality specifications prior to use and release for shipment
Provide problem solving expertise by identifying root causes for problem areas and recommending possible solutions
Provide support for the hygiene program, including weekly and monthly sanitation audits and work to improve performance in this area
Provide support for capital project justifications using available tools, especially as relate to hygiene and quality of products produced
Analyze plant floor data on quality attributes and provide feedback that will enable process improvements
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a Science or related field
1+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Production role within a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment
1+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
The approximate pay range for this position is $75,000 to $108,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
