The Senior Loan Review Analyst helps monitor the credit quality of the loan portfolio through overseeing Loan Review Analyst market and target reviews. The Senior Loan Review Analyst will monitor the credit quality and economic environment in their assigned market. The Analyst performs regular loan portfolio reviews on commercial, real estate and subsidiary portfolios to asses accuracy of loan grade, identify any potential credit weaknesses and to determine adequacy of the allowance for loan loss. Assesses adequacy and adherence to loan policy and compliances with laws and regulations. Provides senior management and board with reports summarizing credit quality of loan portfolio, findings of loans reviewed, adequacy of loan policy and other monthly reports.
Essential Duties
- Monitor assigned region / market for any credit trends, emerging risk and asset quality
- Work on due diligence team for any acquired portfolios
- Write memos for Board and executive management detailing portfolio findings and trends
- Help manage other analysts and check reviews
- Ensures the creditworthiness of the loan portfolio and looks for changes that warrant a review of lending practices and / or adverse asset classification.
- Analyzes trends from balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements to determine financial condition and debt service coverage of borrower relationships.
- Verifies quality, completeness and accuracy of supporting loan documentation and analysis.
- Conducts written reviews of large commercial and real estate borrower relationships to summarize credit quality based on financial trends; conducts portfolio reviews of interim construction loans and subsidiary portfolio reviews.
- Produces, distributes and maintains various month and quarter end departmental reports.
- Attends loan committee.
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years' experience in loan review or another credit related fieldBachelor's Degree in business or related field required. Strong preference for Finance or Accounting major or concentration.Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.Excellent PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets via Microsoft Office products as well as custom applications and systems.Ability to create and present sophisticated reports and findings for upper-level management.Excellent analytical, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.Must be self-motivated with strong initiative, accountability and attention to detailEqual Opportunity Employer / Veterans / Disabled
