Position Summary

This position is on NIGHTS. This role is responsible for dispatching driver schedules / routes and working with customers and warehouse operations to ensure accurate, timely and efficient operations, while providing a high level of customer service.

Here's What You'll Do

• Responsible for dispatching driver schedules / routes for load pick-up and deliveries and working with customers and warehouse operations to ensure accurate, timely and efficient operations, while providing a high level of customer service.
• Ensure timely follow-up, resolution and response to any route planning or delivery timing issues that may arise; work with Transportation Supervisors as appropriate.
• Maintain and update the department dispatch / communication log / software according to department procedures.
• Ensure information is accurate and up-to-date to ensure drivers understand all requirements for the scheduled delivery / pick-up (i.e., equipment / truck / trailer used, delivery location, pick-up / delivery time and documentation procedures, etc.) at all times during the dispatch shift.
• Review, verify and process driver delivery paperwork.
• Ensure adherence to company safety and sanitation policies and procedures, as well as all DOT rules and regulations.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and drivers.
• May assist with coordinating delivery changes, monitoring on-board computers, log reports and maintenance schedules, and submitting necessary information to payroll clerk.
• Work with Transportation / Logistics team to schedule appointments and assist the drivers with questions or issues related to delivery appointments.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
