Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Security Analyst opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN .

Role Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Analyst to join our safeguards and security team, responsible for protecting the organization's critical assets, information, and personnel in accordance with U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) directives and federal regulations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and assessing security measures based on DOE O 470.3C, "Design Basis Threat (DBT)", applicable NRC security requirements (10 CFR Part 73), and related agency policies.

Key Responsibilities :

• Risk and Vulnerability Assessments : Conduct comprehensive security risk and vulnerability assessments of systems, facilities, and operations to identify potential weaknesses and threats in alignment with DOE and NRC standards.
• Regulatory Implementation : Translate and implement specific requirements from DOE O 470.3C, 10 CFR Part 73, and related NRC regulatory guidance into actionable security plans and procedures.
• Threat Analysis : Utilize the Design Basis Threat (DBT) and NRC adversary characteristics to evaluate potential adversary capabilities and intent, ensuring appropriate defensive measures are implemented.
• Compliance and Auditing : Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk management controls and processes, coordinate external assessments, and maintain audit findings to satisfy both DOE and NRC compliance obligations.
• Technical Documentation : Develop and maintain technical reports, programmatic plans, and analytical deliverables that document assessment results and mitigation strategies, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Collaboration : Work closely with emergency planners, physical security specialists, and regulatory interface personnel to ensure a cohesive, defense-in-depth security posture consistent with both DOE and NRC frameworks.
