American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring at least 2 years of IR, ICU, or ER experience and active NE or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care hospital setting within the Interventional Radiology (IR) departmentLevel 1 trauma center environmentSingle IR suite with diagnostics, embolizations, carotid stents, and thrombectomy proceduresCollaborative team environment including neuro IR techs and a charge nurse present on each shiftUses Epic EMR and Siemens Artis Icono equipmentDay shifts, 4x10s Monday through Friday, 7 : 30am–4 : 30pm with cyclic schedulingRequired to take 10–13 call shifts per month including weekends and holidaysFloat within Radiology as needed and potentially to other locations during scheduled shifts (IV starts, transport, file room coverage, and stroke / IR cases at other campuses)Perform and assist with diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures including neurological interventionsProvide patient care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team during proceduresMust be flexible and reliable with strong interpersonal and professional skillsMandatory participation in call rotationMay be floated within Radiology and to affiliated campuses as neededUp to 7 days of requested time off are permitted per 13-week contract, submitted upfront; no additional RTO will be approvedBusiness casual or department-specific dress code may apply; refer to fingernail policy for complianceTwo weeks of unit-specific orientation provided including hands-on and open book examsCandidates must submit two references, one from a supervisor within the last 12 months, and one supervisor or peer reference from the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility\n \n Requirements\n
Active NE or compact RN license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not acceptedMinimum of 2 years recent experience in IR, ICU, or ER is requiredCurrent ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required; PALS preferredExperience with Epic EMR preferredDriver's license required for verification of distance from facilityMust live at least 50 miles from the facilityCannot currently be or have been employed in any capacity by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities in the past yearAbility to pass a department-specific open book skills exam with a minimum score of 90% during orientationArtificial nails are prohibited in all patient care settings\n Benefits\n
