National Account Director, Community Oncology
Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding Revolutionaries in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.
The Opportunity : Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Provider Accounts, the National Account Director, Community Oncology (NAD) is responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic relationships to secure optimal market access for our innovative oncology medicines with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO), key community oncology stakeholders and provider-driven clinical pathways. The NAD will develop and execute account plans and strategies that drive rapid pathway and protocol inclusions to support rapid access while representing the company's interests with key decision-makers. The NAD will help to coordinate cross-functional workstreams to ensure products are included when appropriate in provider-driven clinical pathways. This is a field-based remote position.
Key Responsibilities :
- Translate national, brand-level strategy to key accounts across community oncology key stakeholders and group purchasing organizations (GPOs).
- Lead and oversee account activities such as driving rapid, clinical pathway and treatment protocol inclusion post launch in close collaboration with Medical Affairs.
- Lead all Business to Business and C-Suite relationships with key accounts to support speaker programs, access activities and company partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong KOL and C-level relationships with aligned GPO and large aggregator accounts.
- Lead cross-functional team across commercial Field to pro-actively identify and resolve access barrier issues.
- Track and analyze business opportunities to proactively provide strategic and tactical guidance.
- Negotiate favorable contracts and agreements in alignment with strategic business objectives.
- Champion voice of customer to internal stakeholders and commercial leadership.
- Provide strategic insights and feedback to brands, field, and market access.
- Create medium to long term strategic engagement plan spanning multiple product and indication launches and focuses on engaging beyond transactional approaches.
- Facilitate executive exchanges to create opportunities for Rev Med leaders and GPO / Large Account C-Suite leaders to meet and align.
- Consistently strong appropriate engagement with GPO, GPO account filed-based managers, Aggregator Account leadership and formulary decision makers.
- Proactively communicate when important opportunities arise.
- Activate resources to support opportunities and challenges.
- Ability to design and lead pull through projects with commercial field.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with key systems and internal stakeholders.
Required Skills, Experience and Education :
Bachelor's degree required.10+ years' progressive experience in strategic account management.Strong established relationships within community oncology GPOs and the C-level leadership at large oncology clinics.Demonstrated understanding of reimbursement, economic flows, and oral oncolytic trends within group purchasing organization key customer stakeholders.Strong communication skills to educate and influence other stakeholders, including the commercial executive leadership team and US Market Access.Ability to clearly and efficiently communicate the value proposition of novel oncology therapies to customers.Excellent negotiation skills and strategic alignment with enterprise P&L objectives.Prior experience with pipeline products and product launches.Ability to partner effectively with Medical Affairs, Sales, Marketing and Field Reimbursement teams.50% travel required to customer meetings, industry conferences, and RevMed's home office in Redwood City, CA.Preferred Skills :
Advanced degree (MBA, Master's, PharmD, PhD).Comprehensive experience and understanding of community GPOs and the clinic market.Experience in GI oncology, PDAC and / or NSCLC, including oral targeted therapies.Successful coordination of leadership exchanges and strategic partnerships beyond traditional contracting and rebate agreements.Previous oncology launch experience.Proved ability to stay abreast of the evolving healthcare landscape.Expertise in establishing high-functioning, collaborative relationships with new and rapidly growing teams.Prior people leadership experience and ability to build team as company grows.
