Envirogen - an international leader in industrial water treatment solutions. Due to growth we are looking to add an experienced Field Service Technician , to deliver and remove, operate, and maintain various types of process equipment and filtration systems used to treat industrial water. You will service several client sites and various types of treatment facilities within the North East region / Eastern Seaboard.
As Field Service Technician you will have responsibility for -
- Coordination of water treatment equipment delivery and exchange.
- Hook up hoses and rinses in various types of exchangeable water treatment equipment.
- Drains, disconnects hoses and makes ready for shipment various types of exchangeable water treatment equipment.
- Records operational data from process control instruments and meters, gauge readings, and chemical metering systems on specified forms.
- Performs calculations pertaining to water chemistry, gallonage processed, capacities, and predictive exhaustion of ion exchange resin systems.
- Operates, inspects, adjusts, and monitors process equipment, to detect problems on air, water, and solids handling systems.
- Under direction, performs process calculations required for the proper operation of equipment, including chemical dosage rates.
- Performs process control testing and field testing of water and wastewater as required.
- Communicate with peers and superiors via verbal and written communications.
- Responsible for personal safety record; know, understand, and comply with all project / site safety requirements and utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment.
- Evaluate the physical characteristics of water and waste stream.
- Maintains consistent production quality and work records.
- Performs preventive maintenance using hand tools, power tools and / or precision equipment in accordance with O&M guidelines and requirements.
- Cleans equipment, machinery, and buildings.
- Responds to alarms for emergency situations at various facilities / systems.
Your Experience
High school diplomaMinimum 2 years’ experience in water filtration and / or water treatment.Knowledge of ion exchange treatment a plus.Ability to comprehend and follow safety procedures.Ability to operate equipment, meters, and gauges.Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).Knowledge of basic arithmetic and algebra is commonly used in the water treatment industry.40-hour HAZWOPER certificate / 8-hour refresher preferred. If not current, this will be completed upon hire.Ability to travel locally and regionally as needed (approximately 25%).Requirements
