About the Role :

The Home Infusion Biologic Program Manager serves under the direction of the Home Infusion Clinical Director and is responsible for the daily operations and coordination of care for in-home chronic infusion therapy patients across multiple states. The management sphere of control may include staff as assigned as well as contracted agencies ensuring the delivery of quality services and patient care.

Schedule : Monday Friday; 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM, Saturdays as needed.

Service Areas : Macon, GA, Eastman GA. May also service locations in NC, SC, AL, FL, and VA.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Active Registered Nurse license in the state(s) of practice.
  • 5 years of nursing experience, 2 years of home infusion care management experience of acute and / or chronically ill patients, 1 year or more of charge nurse or other nurse leadership experience.
  • BLS or obtain upon hire.
  • Proficient at partner programs (i.e. : MS Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to cope with ambiguous, changing environment while under pressure in a calm manner.
  • Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team.

Essential Functions :

  • Provides direct management and leadership to assigned staff and contracted agency resources ensuring that quality and efficient patient care services are delivered in accordance with physician orders, company policies, scope of practice, and in accordance with all applicable contractual obligations.
  • Works closely with the home infusion leadership team, pharmacy, procurement, and Patient Services to develop the framework to operationalize the chronic infusion program across the Palmetto Infusion multi-state footprint.
  • Ensures safe, quality patient care while meeting departmental operational objectives.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations policies related to work standards and patient management.
  • Promotes the effectiveness of patient care coordination services and ensures departmental efficiencies through the appropriate allocation of departmental and agency resources (i.e., scheduling, workload assignment, productivity review).
  • Ensures timely and accurate documentation of patient services.
  • Works closely with subcontract agencies to manage costs, review invoices, and approve invoices for payment.
  • Serves as a clinical and professional resource to all assigned staff and contracted agencies providing problem resolution as required.
  • Serves in a staff development / mentor role.
  • Supports Palmetto Infusions corporate vision and operational objectives and reinforces performance expectations to assigned staff.
  • Participates in the review of performance measures to ensure effective, efficient, and best practice protocols are utilized.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading, distance, computer, and color vision. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, vendors, and staff.
