We are currently seeking a motivated individual eager to learn and grow in the construction management field as an Entry-Level Project Engineer. This position will expose you to a variety of career paths, including field management, project management, preconstruction services, virtual design & construction coordination, and safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assist in developing procedures for managing contract drawings.
- Help set up the job management system alongside the Project Administrator.
- Facilitate the building permit process with the project team.
- Support the Superintendent in creating the site utilization plan.
- Review and coordinate the Loss Prevention, Sustainability Action Plan, and Quality Control Program.
- Administer submittal data and shop drawings to ensure timely project schedules and material delivery.
- Prepare and maintain logs for RFIs, RFPs, CORs, submittals, and document control.
- Act as the onsite quality manager for assigned trades, verifying subcontractor deliveries meet approved requirements.
- Participate in project meetings and assist the Project Manager with generating progress reports and meeting minutes.
- Assist with the distribution of proposal change documents and collect pricing for internal reviews.
- Update all clarifications and changes on the 'as-built' drawings in coordination with the project team.
- Work with senior preconstruction team members to estimate projects and enhance your understanding of preconstruction processes.
- Perform preconstruction duties, including quantity take-offs, budget development, and subcontractor procurement.
- Contribute to constructability reviews, project set-up, and subcontractor communication.
- Engage in the Hourigan Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) by adhering to safe work practices and attending training.
Qualifications and Experience :
