Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of acute care experience for a day shift contract in an acute hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Short-term acute care hospital setting
  • Day shift position, Monday through Friday, with flexible start and end times
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • Potential to float between both main and sister campuses within scope
  • 50-mile radius rule applies—locals not accepted
  • Epic charting system used
  • Role involves evaluation and treatment of patients in an acute care environment
  • Every other weekend work is required
  • Must wear royal blue and white scrubs
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Return staff must have been gone for at least 1 year to be eligible
  • There is a two-contract limit, after which a six-month break is required before returning
  • RTO is restricted at manager’s discretion, with a maximum of 4 days off and only 1 holiday approved per contract
  • All mandatory modules must be completed pre-start

    • Requirements

  • Current state or compact Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care strongly recommended
  • Experience with Epic EMR charting system required
  • Ability to float between like units and hospital campuses as needed
