Job Description
The Hydaburg Cooperative Association is seeking an experienced and dynamic Tribal Administrator / Executive Director to lead and manage the daily operations of the Tribe. This position oversees programs, staff, and finances; ensures compliance with Tribal, federal, and state regulations; and supports the Tribal Council in advancing governance, programs, and community development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Tribal Management, or related field (Master’s preferred). Experience in lieu of education will be considered.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive administrative and supervisory experience, ideally in Tribal or nonprofit settings.
- Knowledge of Alaska Native governance, Federal & State grant management, and compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Implement Tribal Council policies, directives, and resolutions.Oversee departments, staff, and programs to ensure effective service delivery.Manage and regularly report on finances, budgets, and grants with transparency and accountability.Ensure compliance with labor, safety, and reporting requirements.Strengthen partnerships with community, regional, and government entities.Compensation
