Network Engineer

About the Company:

Our client is a technology driven, multi-asset investment firm operating on a global scale. The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and scaling networks for the firm’s large HPC environments.

Responsibilities:

• Network design, product selection, routing, configuration and troubleshooting
• Closely work with the HPC systems team to scale the research environment
• Overall capacity planning for the data center networks
• Develop scripts and processes to increase efficiency
• Meet with external parties for project related items as well as future endeavors
• Collaborate with others in the network team to solve cross discipline problems

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related IT field
• 8-12 years of related experience
• In depth understanding of common layer 2 and layer 3 network protocols
• Able to create and maintain clear and effective technical documentation
• Experience managing Arista (EOS), Cisco (NX-OS), and SONiC-based switches
• Experience with public cloud networks, such as AWS, GCP, Azure
• Familiarity with Python, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, GitHub a plus
• Experience with Unix/Linux command line utilities and networking stack

Salary Range:

$200,000-$250,000
