  • Healthcare Setting : 32-bed Medical Care Unit (4 West, Main Building)\n
  • Assignment Type : Travel LPN contract\n
  • Start Date : August 11, 2025\n
  • End Date : November 10, 2025\n
  • Contract Duration : 13 weeks\n
  • Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend and major holidays required\n
  • Dress Code : Navy scrubs; closed-toe and closed-heel shoes\n

    • \n\nMed / Surg LPN Qualifications\n \n

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in Virginia or compact state\n
  • Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support); ACLS not required\n
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg LPN experience in a hospital or clinical setting\n
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays as assigned\n
  • Strong attendance record and reliability\n
  • Positive, outgoing attitude with excellent teamwork skills\n
  • Experience with high admission / discharge turnover preferred\n
  • Familiarity with Meditech 6.0 EMR system is a plus\n

    • \n\nMed / Surg LPN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver direct patient care to a diverse Med / Surg population, including cardio-pulmonary and general medical patients\n
  • Monitor patients for cardiac needs (no arrhythmia management required)\n
  • Provide care for stable COVID-19 patients as needed\n
  • Collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes\n
  • Participate in patient admissions, discharges, and daily care activities in a fast-paced environment\n
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Meditech 6.0\n
  • Float to similar level of care units or stepdown units with Med / Surg assignments as needed\n
  • Uphold unit policies and contribute to a positive, team-oriented healthcare culture\n
