As a Recreational Gymnastics Coach, youll bring the energy, enthusiasm, and encouragement that makes every class an unforgettable experience. Youll lead safe, high-energy gymnastics classes for athletes of all ages and skill levelsalways with a smile and a supportive spirit. With positivity and structure, youll help kids develop confidence, coordination, strength, and teamwork, while inspiring them to discover the joy of movement.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruct weekly gymnastics classes for preschool, beginner, and intermediate-level athletes.
- Create a welcoming and supportive class environment aligned with Dominique Dawes Academys philosophy of holistic child development.
- Follow class plans, skill progressions, and safety protocols provided by the academys leadership team.
- Provide age-appropriate instruction that challenges athletes while encouraging progress and fun.
- Offer verbal and physical spotting and corrections to ensure skill development and safety.
- Positively engage with parents before and after classes to provide feedback and build community.
- Maintain a clean and organized training space and assist in setting up / taking down equipment as needed.
- Monitor athletes closely and respond promptly to injuries or safety concerns, following gym protocols.
- Collaborate with teammates and management to ensure smooth class transitions and rotations.
- Attend required staff training sessions, team meetings, and seasonal evaluations.
- Represent the academys values of respect, teamwork, and excellence in all interactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum age : 16 years oldExperience working with children in instructional, athletic, or recreational settings (preferred)Background in gymnastics, cheer, dance, or another movement-based discipline (preferred)CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferredWork Schedule & Environment
Weekday afternoon / evening and weekend morning shifts availableClasses are held in an indoor gym environment with frequent interaction with children and familiesMust be available for consistent weekly scheduling during the school yearPhysical Requirements
