Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an outpatient role requiring at least 1 year of experience, BLS, NBCOT, and an active Alaska license.
Responsibilities
Work in an outpatient therapy setting within an acute care medical center and long-term care facilityTreatment provided to a diverse patient population in an outpatient unitDay shift position, Monday through Friday with possible weekend shiftsNo on-call requiredNo floating required within this roleEpic EMR is used for chartingLevel IV Trauma, Critical Access Hospital environmentTravelers are not considered local if they live within 50 miles of the facilityProvide evidence-based outpatient occupational therapy to patients across a range of diagnosesFacility offers traveler-provided housing and a rental vehicle for use during the assignmentHousing is typically a 1-bedroom apartment for the traveler only, with no pets allowedVehicle is for local use only and must be cleaned and refueled before returnOrientation and online modules must be completed before start and annuallyScrubs of any color or business casual attire are permittedFree parking is available on siteAll travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state as neededFormer permanent staff may return as travelers only after a 3-month separationAssignments have a 1-year maximum term, after which a 6-month break is required before returningRequirements
Current Alaska Occupational Therapist license required (license required if applicable)Minimum 1 year of relevant experience requiredCurrent BLS certification requiredNBCOT certification requiredExperience with Epic EMR requiredTwo supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last three years in a comparable settingMust be willing and able to work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New YearMust provide valid driver's license and proof of insurance if utilizing provided vehicleFacility only accepts Hepatitis B vaccine; titers and declinations are not acceptedBenefits
