Overview
Field Applications Engineer - FPGA at Arrow Components. Work arrangement : Fully Remote TX but must be able to come to the Dallas or Austin branch on Monday mornings.
What You'll Be Doing
- Partner with the Arrow sales teams in local branches across your assigned region in pre- and post-sales activities. Provide technical support and consulting for FPGA-based designs to promote demand creation.
- Work with customers to develop a thorough understanding of their design requirements at both a system and component level.
- Attend supplier trainings in-person and via conference calls. Demonstrate an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of supplier technologies and how those technologies relate to market needs.
- Provide training to Arrow sales teams on new products and help market these products to the appropriate customers.
- Manage supplier and customer expectations by building and developing relationships, keeping stakeholders up to date on activities, plans, and progress towards initiatives.
- Manage top opportunities and opportunity funnel in assigned region.
- Attend and actively participate in strategic branch meetings and quarterly business reviews.
- Help plan and organize engineering customer events and seminars.
- Prepare and give sales presentations to customers.
- Meet with customers both on-site and virtually.
- Work independently; receive minimal guidance.
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
- Quickly build influential relationships with customers, suppliers, and the Arrow sales team.
- This job profile requires participation in a sales compensation plan. A portion of On-Target Earnings will be variable and tied to specific sales-related goals as set forth by Arrow.
What We're Looking For
5+ years of electronic design experience with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineeringMust have experience designing with FPGAs (HDL, Simulation, Verification, etc.)Excellent communication and presentation skillsSales experience is beneficial in this roleCompensation, Benefits & Location
