Shipping & Receiving Clerk

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. This role supports manufacturing and distribution operations by maintaining inventory accuracy, inspecting goods, and coordinating with warehouse and production teams.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies against purchase orders and packing slips
• Unload trucks and ensure products are properly stored
• Report damaged or incorrect items to supervisors
• Enter receiving data into inventory management systems
• Maintain organized receiving area
• Prepare and package finished goods for shipment
• Verify order accuracy before shipping
• Generate shipping labels and documentation (BOLs, packing slips)
• Coordinate pickups with carriers
• Ensure compliance with safety and company policies
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories
• Maintain accurate inventory records
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 13 years of shipping and receiving experience, preferably in food or beverage manufacturing
• Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control
• Experience using ERP/WMS systems and shipping documentation
