Job description

Sales Enablement Manager

Works closely with senior managers within the retail and business banking division to manage key initiatives, including supporting critical cross-functional projects related to strategic objectives of the Bank, improving risk management and ensuring efficiency and sustainability of core processes and positioning the Bank to meet evolving regulatory expectations. Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining sales tools and resources that empower retail branch teams to drive performance and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Build and maintain intuitive, scalable sales tools that support branch teams in achieving performance goals, anchored in consistency and efficiency
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure tools align with business strategies and frontline workflows.
  • Continuously evaluate tool effectiveness and implement enhancements based on feedback and performance data.
  • Develop playbooks, guides, and digital resources to support sales conversations and product positioning for both retail and business banking clients
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual sales processes and streamline coaching workflows.
  • Collaborate with field leadership to design and implement coaching frameworks that reinforce sales behaviors.
  • Work closely with product, marketing, analytics, and training teams to ensure alignment and integration of enablement efforts.
  • Participate in planning and implementing new products, programs and initiatives to achieve short and long-term business objectives and strategic outcomes. Support development of project roadmaps and plans.
  • Coordinate discussions and agenda development of regular conference calls and in-person meetings of with external peers or industry groups, agencies and select US officials to share best practices and promote industry advocacy efforts.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required :

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years' higher education and / or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience

Education and Experience Preferred :

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Accounting, Engineering, or Business Administration

Minimum of 4 years' relevant work experience

Banking / financial industry experience

Six Sigma, Lean or Process Improvement, or project management-related education

Experience with SQL, programming and statistical software

Experience with financial, regulatory and / or process analysis, and technical writing

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $71,985.72 - $119,976.20 Annual (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
