Intern : Software Test Engineer – JR | Summer 2026 Start     Innovative Defense Technologies  (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DoD), is seeking a Software Test Engineer Intern to be based in our Arlington, VA office. This Software Test Engineer will work with a fast-paced team of mission-focused engineers to solve some of the DoD’s toughest challenges. Initiative, creativity, reliability, and efficient teamwork will be required to successfully deliver innovative solutions in this dynamic customer space.    Overview :    IDT seeks to add a Software Test Engineer Intern that will work with systems and software engineers to develop and implement automated testing solutions for IDT programs in the Aviation domain. This position requires a dynamic individual who can contribute to IDT’s automated test and analysis processes and technologies. IDT is seeking a self-starter, who can communicate effectively and work well in a team environment. This position offers an engineer the opportunity to utilize their knowledge and talents as part of a collaborative team, developing ATRT and applying ATRT technology to create automated test and analysis solutions for tactical weapon systems.    IDT’s Summer Internship Programoffers students the opportunity to learn from experts and perform meaningful work in a professional work environment.
