Nurse Extern – NICU

Description

Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Extern assists patients with activities of daily living; provides a safe environment for patients by providing 1 : 1 observation and care; and, assists staff and patients with select procedures and health interventions, all in a family centered environment. The Extern can also assist in data collection activities (i.e. hand hygiene survalliance, personal protective equipment usage, etc).

Required Qualifications :

• Current enrollment in an NLN approved nursing program.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
