Actuary, Risk Management (Remote)

This role will be responsible for the Company's strategic risk appetite (SRA) covering key performance measures including earnings, capital, and profitability. The role will partner extensively with ERM members, ERM leadership team, Finance, Corporate Actuarial, and the Business Units. This is a high exposure role and provides the opportunity to collaborate with individuals at all levels across the Company. This position will manage an actuarial student.

Responsibilities :

• Support Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) oversight and due diligence
• Lead the analysis of the PLRe block (off-shore reinsurance)
• Collaborate with the business to understand upcoming regulatory environment changes and its impact on the Company
• Lead efforts to enhance the SRA
• Coordinate, manage and communicate analysis of scenario analysis and stress testing to senior management
• Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Business Units to understand risks and impact drivers of the business plan
• Own Economic Solvency Ratio (ESR) and support Insurance Capital Standards (ICS) workstreams
• Support Annuities related workstreams (pricing review, VM-21, hedging, etc…)

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities :

Protective's targeted salary range for this position is $130,000 to $170,000. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective's total compensation package for employees. This position also offers additional incentive opportunities [through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance].
