What you will do :

T he Nurse Manager is responsible for the twenty-four (24) planning provision coordination implementation and evaluation for the nursing care provided to a designated group of adult elderly and pediatric patients in a rehabilitation specialty area.

Responsibilities :

• Promotes and restores patients health by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of the patient care area; directing and developing staff; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staffs; providing physical and psychological support for patients friends and families.
• Serves as a resource planner clinical expert manager and interdisciplinary coordinator.
• Areas of responsibility include staff recruitment retention staff remediation and corrective action orientation rehabilitation techniques clinical nursing skills nursing process in-service and continuing education staff competencies information technology and systems resource allocation / utilization.
• In alignment with the organizational Mission & Core Values the Program Nurse Manager is responsible for the development implementation & evaluation of programs and systems which facilitate and enhance age related and culturally sensitive nursing practice.
• The Program Nurse Manager requires the supervision of staff who provide care to patients who range in age from pediatric to geriatric.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies (included but not limited to the Joint Commission NYS DOH CMS).
• Reports to the executive Director of Nursing.

Pay Range : $48.50 - $64.70 Pay is based on experience skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
