About The Position
Job Title : RN Clinical Nurse

Experience : 2 years PICU experience required

Certifications : BLS - Basic Life Support, PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support

Description :
The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team.
They ensure that patients and families receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care.
The practice environment is administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders.
The care provided is supported through a professional practice model and evidence-based practice.
RN competencies are derived from this model and supported by core values.
All RN Clinical Nurses are licensed and knowledgeable.
They uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Professional Nurse Practice Act.
They implement the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards published by professional nursing associations.
The RN Clinical Nurse provides relationship-based patient-centered care.
This care is consistent with population-specific characteristics and adapts service delivery to reflect cultural diversity.
They partner with patients and significant others in their care decisions.
The RN utilizes current clinical practice standards.
Responsibilities include managing the care of complex and high-acuity pediatric patients.
The RN performs regular assessments and monitoring of patients.
They provide culturally and developmentally appropriate direct clinical care.
The RN manages and oversees ventilator and cardiac rhythm assessments.
They assess, monitor, and trend vital signs continuously.
Management of vasoactive, sedation, and insulin drips is also required.
The RN runs and analyzes bedside point-of-care tests.
Additionally, they assist with bedside procedures and support pediatric codes.
This role emphasizes teamwork and collaboration.
It coordinates the delivery and documentation of quality patient care.
Participation in performance improvement and research is encouraged.
