Applications Specialist role is a Technical / Application training position responsible for conducting comprehensive user training on BD Molecular instrumentation platforms to achieve customer proficiency and self?sufficiency.

The Applications Specialist collaborates with Technical Service and Support teams, participates in sales and marketing programs, provides documentation development, compliance activities, and technical input for new product development.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive user training on BD instrumented platforms.
- Train BD associates on instrumented platforms as necessary.
- Uncover customer needs and implement customized solutions.
- Contribute to laboratory workflow productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Technical Service and Support and Field Service teams.
- Provide expertise during all stages of the sales cycle.
- Engage in regional Sales and Marketing programs.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.
- Provide product knowledge and technical input for Research and Development.
- Drive implementation process and full utilization of BD platforms.
- Collaborate to develop training programs and SOPs.
- Ensure fulfillment and improvement of field?related job aids and technical documentation.
- Maintain appropriate records and documentation.
- Conduct product demonstrations at trade shows, workshops, and customer sites.
- Provide technical input to Marketing Managers.
- Assist sales associates with customized presentations.
- Support new assays and products prior to formal launch.
- Work with cross?functional teams for product launches.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. degree or equivalent experience in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biological Sciences, or Molecular / Microbiology.Minimum 5 years proven experience in a clinical hospital or reference laboratory setting.Good understanding of technical and workflow aspects for molecular instrument platforms.Familiarity with regulatory agencies and quality procedures.Experience demonstrating effective training, teaching, educating, and presentation abilities.Knowledge and experience with Technical and Application support.History of demonstrated project management, instructing, and organizational skills.Ability to travel domestically (up to 80% as needed).Ability to be on call during evenings / weekends as needed.Valid state?issued drivers license that meets BDs auto safety standards.Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree.Prior experience in a Field based role / work structure traveling between areas and clients.Training in "Train?the?Trainer" methods and adult educational methods desirable.Understanding of computer software applications and Laboratory Information Systems.Salary Range
$70,200.00 $115,800.00 USD Annual
