Rochester Operations Manager
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the warehouse, fleet and distribution functions within the Rochester, NY Sales Center facilities and is tasked with ensuring that all logistics activities are operating efficiently.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, coach, develop, evaluate and lead a team of direct reports.
- Establish distribution goals, manage all delivery KBIs and review processes regularly
- Oversee distribution schedules, vehicle assignments, loading of product and delivery of product
- Maintain and enforce standards of safety, health, hygiene, cleanliness, organization and security
- Work closely with the DSD Planning team to ensure that daily routing is accurate, timely and achieves optimal cost parameters
- Ensure adherence to delivery standards, efficiencies and regulatory requirements including DOT regulations
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with OSHA regulations as well as company established policies and procedures
- Ensure optimal inventory levels of full goods are maintained in order to fulfill daily sales needs
- Ensure all full goods and parts inventory count and management processes comply with company standards and regulatory requirements
- Ensure efficient utilization of space; establish warehouse layout and route truck loading patterns that minimize loading times and guarantee proper stock rotation
- Create and maintain a customer-focused environment with a commitment to superior customer service
- Ensure high-quality and efficient Repair and Maintenance of Company Fleet & Material Handling assets while complying all company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with sales center management and centralized support teams to meet budgetary and operational goals
- Make recommendations and implement processes to improve the overall productivity, quality and safety of warehouse and distribution operations
Job Requirements
High school diploma, GED or equivalent requiredBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred3-5 years of experience in Warehouse & Distribution, Operations, or related field requiredPrevious supervisory and / or leadership experience preferredExperience working with manual or powered pallet jacks preferred; forklift certification a plusBasic technical knowledge and working experience with SAP preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel and WordStrong analytical, decision making and problem solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization, to clearly articulate relevant ideas, opinions and informationAbility to work effectively in a team environment, and across teams where necessary, to develop relationships throughout the company and to work collaborativelyAbility to effectively supervise and motivate employeesBenefits & Perks : 401K with Company Match, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Employee Referral Bonuses, Fitness Reimbursements, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Discounts, Scholarship Opportunities, and so much more!
