Position is located in Mobile, Alabama.\n \nThis position is a customer service-oriented Inspector with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience with fire alarm system devices. This role will establish a rapport and build positive relationships with our customers. \n \nRESPONSIBILITIES : \n\nResponsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on fire alarm devices and life safety product lines as well as similar competitive manufacturers’ product lines. \nComplete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices such as laptop computers and / or hard copy. \nFollow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
\nInput, retrieve and archive inspection documents via laptop computer. \nMake minor repairs and programming changes with minimal supervision. \nComplete assigned inspections on time.
Perform other duties as assigned.\n\n \nREQUIREMENTS : \n \n\n3-5 years’ experience in low voltage electrical / fire alarm systems. \nPossess necessary licensing / certifications required by National, State and Local codes for the level of Inspector. \nFire and / or Life Safety Systems experience.
\nExperience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and operational / product manuals. \nExperience with hand tools and multi-meter usage. \nDemonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.
\nStrong working knowledge of NFPA codes. \nBackflow, Fire Hydrant, and Fire Extinguisher License, a plus. \nPossess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
\nCapable of passing a pre-employment background, MVR and drug test. \n\n \nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : \n \n\nNICET Level III preferred but not required.
