End Date : January 10, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00pm start)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1570 - $1680

Unit : Post Surgical Care (28 beds)

Patient Ratios : RN 1 : 4-6

Scrub Color : Navy Blue

Parking : Free in designated areas

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unencumbered RN license (North Carolina or compact state)

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg or Telemetry RN experience

BLS and ACLS certifications required

NIHSS certification (Resource Team Requirement)

Proficient in post-surgical nursing skills : incision care, patient assessment, drains, chest tubes, wound care / wound vacs, mobility, patient education, trach care, NG tube insertion, use of braces / traction

Willingness to float within the Central Division region (Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman)

Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (radius rule for travel nursing jobs)

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to post-surgical and medical overflow patients

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans

Manage drains, chest tubes, wound vacs, and other post-surgical interventions

Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery processes

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including CNAs, charge nurses, IV / VAT teams, respiratory therapists, and hospitalists

Utilize EPIC EMR, BD Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips / Massimo monitors

Participate in floating assignments as needed within the designated North Carolina healthcare region
