H-E-B Customer Service Specialist

As a customer service specialist, you'll be responsible for providing a well-stocked and well-maintained department while providing superior customer service. You'll stock and properly rotate products on a daily basis, while maintaining all department and safety / sanitation standards. What is the work?
Stocking :stocks and rotates items as neededassists with inventory control; loads, unloads, and moves productorganizes, cleans, and prepares back area for the night crew and incoming trucksorganizes merchandise on pallets to make the department presentable to the publicensures integrity of shelf tags and signage in department; may create / prepare signage, as neededmaintains standards in shrink, safety, inventory control, and sanitationchecks shipments for out-of-date and damaged product to ensure freshness and quality of productsbuilds, stocks, maintains, and takes down store displaysperforms customer service assistant duties as neededCustomer Service :provides superior customer serviceanswers customer questions regarding products and assists them with selections; helps customers locate store merchandiseSales :merchandises product effectivelyuses suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department salesFood Safety / Sanitation :cleans and sanitizes sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipmentproperly handles and maintains the operation of all equipmentcomplies with departmental SOPs and store operating proceduresAdditional Department-Specific Responsibilities / Pre-requisites :Beauty : knowledge of beauty and cosmetic aidsDrugstore / General Merchandise : prepares tags and signs as neededEntertainment : knowledge in the audio / video fieldKnowledge of specialty products, movies, music, electronics, and video gamesGrocery : organizes, cleans, and prepares back area for the night crew and incoming trucksprepares tags and signs as neededTexas Backyard : basic knowledge of chemical recommendationsbasic knowledge of the nursery business and plant recommendationsability to complete green thumb training (H-E-B internal training)What is your background?
