Job descriptionLicensed for 220 beds, Sovah Health - Martinsville is a full service, acute-care hospital serving Martinsville, Henry County and surrounding region. Facility employs over 700 people, has over 100 physicians and allied health professionals, and provides over 22 medical specialties. Comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour emergency services, home health & hospice agency, advanced wound healing center, cardiac rehabilitation center, two cardiac catheterization labs, outpatient surgery center, and medical & radiation oncology services. Accredited by American College of Cardiology (ACC) Accreditation Services for Chest Pain Center and Heart Failure, American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer, member of Duke Heart Network and Duke Telestroke Network. Orientation is bi-weekly on Tuesdays; candidates must be 60 miles or greater to be considered Travel. Travelers must have required certifications prior to start. Random drug screens completed on site; criminal questionnaire / consent form required. Unit Profile : Medical Surgical Unit, Trauma Level : N / A, Role : RN, Specialty : Medical / Surgical - Telemetry, Number of Openings : 1, Shift : Nights 7P – 7A, Weekly Guaranteed Hours : 36, Weekend Hours : Every Other / As Needed, Call Requirements : As Needed. Unit Information : 41 beds, patient ratios 1 : 4, EHR : Meditech, Supervisor : Director of Acute Care Services, Patient Population : Serves all ages. Hiring Profile : Must have critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, work in stressful environment, flexibility in scheduling including weekends and holidays. Common Diagnosis / Treatment : Post Op Orthopedic Procedures, Total Joints. Dress Code : No specific scrub color required, no casual wear. Required certification / licensure to work as an RN in Virginia. Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, Handle with Care, NIH. Years of Experience : 1-2. Shift : Nights 7P – 7A. Weekly Guaranteed Hours : 36. Weekend Hours : Every Other / As Needed. Call Requirements : As Needed. Orientation is bi-weekly on Tuesdays. Unit : Medical Surgical Unit.
